Very helpful! Loved how you pulled in older kids and teenagers.
Hi Donna, Thank you so much for the post. I wanted to ask you if you have any read aloud books that you recommend reading aloud to a 6.5 year old kindergarten boy. We have been reading for many years all the stories from ‘Brambly hedge’ and ‘The Tales of Limindoor Woods’ Books by Sieglinde De Francesca.
Hi Katia,
Zillions! Too many to print here–and a large part of my early years work is focused on this subject. So your best bet is to refer to our kindergarten publication not only for extensive lists but also advice on how to choose appropriate books for your boy

We were visiting a library last week and for their story time, the person reading kept stopping to ask questions and explain on every page! That was hard to sit through.
My kids have loved being able to “read” our favorites long before they could read.
