Shipping and Handling Information
Please do not ask us how long an order might take to a specific place–we cannot answer this question and cannot take responsibility for orders being shipped within a specific time. Please see below for approximate shipping times that the post office suggests–and which only applies once they receive the packages from us. We endeavor to give the PO packages to ship on Tuesdays and Fridays but cannot guarantee this. We ship exclusively with the United States Postal Service.
Please always check the information box on the top right hand corner of our homepage for any dates when our office is taking orders but not shipping, due to vacations and holidays. Help us be a sustainable and healthy business by understanding why we close from time to time to get a bit of a breather!
We generally ship USPS Priority Mail. The USPS estimates delivery of Priority Mail packages within 2 to 3 days after they have shipped. Please note that ‘priority’ refers to the speed at which the postal service processes orders – not us!
We do offer a less expensive shipping option which is Media Mail. The USPS estimates delivery of Media Mail packages within 7 to 14 days after they have shipped. Please do be aware of these shipping estimations and choose your shipping method accordingly.
Sometimes the actual shipping cost is less than our flat rate. In those cases you will be given the option to choose the lesser cost.
International orders are shipped either First Class Mail International or Priority Mail International depending on the size of the package.
The easiest way to calculate shipping charges is to place your items in the online shopping cart and enter your shipping destination. This can be done before you enter your payment information and so you’re not committed to purchase at this point. You can delete the items after you figure your shipping costs.
Please understand that shipping estimations do not include time spent in foreign customs and that you may have customs charges on your end. We cannot write ‘gift’ or ‘sample’ on your international order as this is illegal. While we certainly understand why people make this request, it is not something we can do.
Please understand that once an order leaves our office it is no longer our responsibility and we cannot track it for you. Sometimes international orders get held up in Customs–we often are asked for help or advice about this but please understand there is nothing we can do to help. Each country has its own Customs laws and practices–please consult your local post office for advise.
Shipping Confirmation, Tracking and Queries
You will receive an email confirmation of shipping that will include a tracking number as well as a link to the USPS website where you can check the progress of your shipment. Please utilize this service as we cannot track your orders for you. Please note that you cannot track orders through the Christopherus website –only through the postal service.
