Lachlan in California created a great Numbers Main Lesson book: included here are the cover (a watercolor painting) and three samples from inside. Note how Spanish language is brought into this book.

Finn in Quebec drew these lovely pictures for his Introduction to Numbers Main Lesson:

The following are some of the consonants from Finn’s Letters Main Lesson book. His mother comments:

I was using a mix of fairy tales, that were told by a family of travelers, as found in┬áPOD grade 1. Most of our letter stories were based on the fairy tales that the father in the story told around their campfire at night, but sometimes (usually when I hadn’t prepared a fairy tale!) I used a story from the travelers…

…For the Vowels, we did them separately, as watercolor paintings, with the sounds being reactions to what was happening in the ongoing story.
