Quizzes and Tests
Throughout the Christopherus curriculum, starting in about 4th grade, we provide many quizzes and, in later grades, tests. Used properly, a good quiz or test can stretch and challenge a child, helping her view quizzes and tests as tools for self-knowledge. One must never dumb down material–and one must remember to never give a quiz or test on something one did not cover!
Good tests should encourage deep thinking and not regurgitation. And if one is required to give standardized tests to one’s child, there are various ways of approaching this.
